Just a Little Something  I love her in some strange sincere way. I built her and watched her grow and change. She’s like a child, conceived of thought and mind. And she’s so close, a satin ribbon around my finger, reminding me. I see her now, in my telling hand, like a doll, spinning in a music box. Her legs are bare and scratched beneath her gown. She plies, looking for a smile. Is she me? Is she what I want? Is she a little bit of me, spun like clay on a wheel to fit my image? Into what I wish to be?   I can see inside of her, feel her thoughts and dreams. Her frustrations tense my stomach and her tears burn my eyes. Each little smil Just a Little Something

The BreathersIt was damp and wet, with a metallic earthen smell that enveloped me. My bare feet touched the hard compacted ground, clinging to the ounces of life in the core beneath me. It was a dark room, with a dark locked steel door and the only light burned from a strange candle that was incased in glass and didn’t flicker.  
 “Please, Ms. Tohkai, have a seat.” Two men grabbed my arms and pulled hard, landing me in a wooden chair. My heart jumped, but I wasn’t surprised, this is how they treated you when you were a prisoner of war. My fingers danced quietly and invisibly along the smooth, poorly varnished oak. The Reconstruction Part 2I curled up in bed earlier than usual. I’d pushed myself hard that day, relishing in every moment of the flight and destruction. Pulling the covers to my chin, I smiled, remembering that tomorrow was my actual shift. Two flights in a row! My eyes closed and I tried to get to sleep.  
 “Annika?” Drekkam walked into my pod, cringing as he bent beneath the door frame. “Did I wake you?”   “Drek? What’s happened? Are you hurt?”   “Colonel Shav called me in. You Got It Going On

Bret, you got it going on!
I've been exposed to the happy land of Flight of the Conchords and I've had that song stuck in my head for the majority of the day.

Well, I know this is a little advanced, but I'm so excited for the upcoming months! I love fall because
1. Halloween
2. Thanksgiving
3. Eanes Carnival
4. Christmas (Not really fall, but shut up)
5. LIFE

Seriously, I'm like a bundle of jitters here thinking about it.
I don't know what it is, but I always feel really good in the fall. You know, holidays approaching, everyone's settled in at school, it's just nice. You know?

I'm a little crazy right now.
